Amelia Shister

Amelia hails from New York but has lived all over the country.  She is a masters candidate at the George Washington University Elliott School of International Affairs in the International Trade and Investment Policy program.  Amelia joined the U.S. International Trade Commission after 4 years at the Metropolitan Policy Program at the Brookings Institution where she worked on the Global Cities Initiative.  Previously, she was at the Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC). She graduated from Trinity College (CT) with a B.A. in International Studies (Latin America and the Caribbean) and Hispanic Studies and she received her M.Sc. in Political Science (Comparative European Politics) from Trinity College Dublin. Prior to joining BPC, Amelia interned at Dynamic SRG, a political fundraising firm in New York City. She also worked as a field organizer on a congressional campaign during the 2010 election cycle. She has worked and studied abroad in Barcelona, Spain and Dublin, Ireland. 

Moving forward, she aims to substantively engage in research and policy analysis in areas of foreign policy and international political economy, especially with regards to global commodity trade regulations and agreements.
